Overview
Lead the end-to-end system architecture and integration of Small Modular Reactor (SMR) platforms, ensuring seamless coordination across all engineering disciplines—including neutronics, thermal-hydraulics, structural, instrumentation & control (I&C), and fuel systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, document, and maintain top-level system architecture and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
- Manage technical interfaces across neutronics, thermal-hydraulics, structural, I&C, and fuel systems to ensure interoperability and performance.
- Develop and govern functional breakdown structures and system-level requirement allocations aligned with safety and regulatory standards.
- Lead integrated design reviews and drive system-level coherence through structured FMEA/HAZOP processes.
- Serve as primary technical liaison with regulatory bodies (e.g., AERB) on integrated plant safety case development and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in nuclear plant systems engineering, with direct involvement in SMR or advanced reactor design programs.
- Demonstrated expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies (e.g., SysML, Cameo, Rhapsody).
- Proven track record collaborating with nuclear industry stakeholders—preferably with experience at DAE/NPCIL, international OEMs, or major nuclear projects.
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
